Collapsed and died on duty.
Police Memorial Tribute
He was walking along High Street Chatham on duty, in the company of another Detective when he collapsed. He was carried to the Fountain Hotel where life was pronounced extinct. He had been over the several months past suffering with an affection of the heart and had previously been attended to.
