Fatally shot when terrorists attacked the RIC Barracks and a patrol in Ballyduff, County Kerry. Posthumously awarded the Constabulary Medal for Gallantry.
Police Memorial Tribute
One of three Constables who were fatally shot when, six days earlier, on 31st October, a large terrorist unit attacked the RIC Barracks in Ballyduff, County Kerry, and a patrol that was in the village at the time. Posthumously awarded the Constabulary Medal for Gallantry.
Constable William Madden died on the day of the attack and Constable George Morgan died from his wounds the following day, 1st November.
