Died eighteen months after sustaining extensive injuries when his motorcycle was struck by a car as he travelled to report for night duty.
Police Memorial Tribute
Died eighteen months after sustaining extensive injuries, from which he never recovered when, on 3rd July 2015, his motorcycle was struck by a car travelling at excessive speed on the wrong side of the road on the Birkenhead flyover, as he travelled to report for night duty.
PC Briggs joined Merseyside Police in 2004 after leaving the British Army. He was posted to Wallasey before joining the Roads Policing Unit in 2007.
He is survived by his wife and their daughter.
