Died at the scene after sustaining fatal injuries when she was struck by a dock locomotive while on patrol at Plymouth Docks.
Police Memorial Tribute
A former RAF clerical worker, Lilian joined the police in April 1943. Her husband was deployed on active service at the time and was unaware of her new career.
Lilian died shortly after her 26th birthday.
