Roll of Honour Citation
Shot while serving with the British Police Unit in Cyprus when terrorist gunmen opened fire as he guarded a prisoner in Nicosia Hospital. Posthumously awarded the Queen’s Police Medal for Gallantry.
Police Memorial Tribute
Although mortally wounded he returned fire before he died and in doing so he saved a colleague’s life.
