Fatally stabbed in the neck after recalling herself to duty to confront her assailant when she was attacked outside her home in Chelmsford Road, Walthamstow, as she returned from duty.
Police Memorial Tribute
WPC Sandhu joined the Metropolitan Police on 1st February 1971, serving first in Hornsey, then in Walthamstow and Leyton.
She was the first female Asian police officer in Britain.
