Died three weeks after suffering a brain injury during an operation to repair a shoulder injury that he'd sustained while making an arrest.
Police Memorial Tribute
PC Cooke had sustained a shoulder injury while making an arrest on 9th May. Seven months later, on 4th December, during an operation to repair the injury, Joseph suffered a brain injury and, as a result, died three weeks later on Christmas Day.
