Died in Mercer’s Hospital, Dublin, from the gunshot wounds he sustained ten months earlier, on 24th January, when terrorists knocked on the door at Baltinglass Barracks in County Wicklow and, when it was opened, fired into the barracks, hitting Constable Malynn and two other Constables, both of whom survived.
