Died from injuries sustained when struck to the head months prior.
Police Memorial Tribute
On the night of 12th June 1941 whilst on duty, he received a blow to the head with an iron instrument fracturing his skull, he had been a partial invalid and died 27th November 1947 as a direct result of this injury.
