Sustained fatal injuries when the police car he was the passenger in collided with a parked van.
Police Memorial Tribute
PC Main was the passenger within a police Morris Marina being driven along Thornton Street North, Collyhurst, when outside the Sparrow Inn a parked van was struck.
PC Main died from his injuries, the driver received hospital treatment for facial injuries.
Survived by his wife and young child.
