Fatally injured when he was struck by a car while chasing suspects across a road.
Police Memorial Tribute
PC Acreman was in pursuit of two suspected thieves when he stopped his patrol car and chased them on foot.
Running across Raglan Road, Woolwich he was struck by a car and sustained serious head injuries. Taken to hospital he was attended to by a team of surgeons but died close to midnight.
Survived by his wife, their daughter and son. He had 13 years police service.
