Died from the injuries he sustained nine days earlier when Manchester Division HQ in East Union Street, Old Trafford, was demolished by a high-explosive bomb.
Police Memorial Tribute
Five officers were killed in the early-morning raid on 23rd December and another died from his injuries on 26th December 1940.
