Shot and killed as he ran back to his patrol car after seeing a colleague shot dead as they questioned three men in a van.
Police Memorial Tribute
DS Head was shot and killed, by the front-seat passenger of a van parked in Braybrook Street, near Wormwood Scrubs prison, as he ran back to his patrol car after seeing Temporary DC David Stanley Bertram Wombwell shot dead as the two officers questioned the van’s three occupants.
PC Geoffrey Roger Fox was also shot and killed as he attempted to drive away from the scene.
